Why SEO from the Start?

Dashtoon aims to disrupt the global creation and consumption of digital comics, becoming the primary destination for user-generated content. That can only be possible if you explore SEO as one of the founding GTM channels. Dashtoon did exactly that.

We created numerous landing pages targeting specific use cases of Dashtoon's product that already had market demand:

Building the Reader Base

For readers, we targeted search terms like

  • "Best romance manga"
  • "Best action manga"
  • "Read manga online"

These reader-focused pages followed a more traditional blog format but maintained the same strategic purpose.

To attract people who are interested in anime, manga, we created top of the funnel content that they would search for. The aim here was to increase brand recall and authority. We targeted keywords like “Female anime character top list” “Who is the strongest anime character” “top manhwa apps”.

To get readers who are looking for alternatives to popular manga, manhua reading websites we positioned Dashtoon as the right alternative by making pages like: "best alternatives to bato.to," “best alternatives to toonily”. This brought in an influx of high intent reading audiences who had a problem with the previous platform. This cohort proved to have high repeat high retention.

These pages drove high-intent users looking for new platforms to consume content, helping Dashtoon capture users who were already engaged in the comic/manhwa ecosystem.
